I am still amazed when I walk out on the new deck it beautiful and solid as a rock! After a 4 year disaster with a previous deck experience, I finally decided to try again and had numerous estimates in the last year. When Brian came out looked at the existing deck and told me what needed to be done and how he would do it. I knew he was knowledgeable and he knew what he was doing. During the project he ran in to some unforeseen and unusually construction idiocracies with the house during the project he adapted and adjusted without a hitch. The new deck is wonderful and you could drive a truck on it. My husband is over 250lbs and it doesn't move when he walks or plops down in a chair.

Brian was here when he said he would be. He kept us informed about what was going on, and cleaned up before he left. The details that went into the deck were beyond what I had expected which is always a delight. Edges were routed, corners smoothed. A hand rail was installed on the stairs (which have nice wide treads). Cement for the footings was mixed onsite rather than the cement being poured in the hole and adding water from a hose. I was/am thrilled with the whole project and will use B&M for future projects. Oh, did I tell you I was happy with the deck?

B & M Builders did an excellent job replacing our roof. They were very reasonably priced and replaced the roof in just a few days. They also did a great job cleaning up all materials at the end of the job. I would definitely recommend this company.

They started when they said they would. They were very diligent in doing their work. They were very careful with my property and made sure nothing was damaged as far as plants and shrubs. They completed the job when they said they would despite some rainy weather in between. We were very pleased with the work they did and the product they delivered.

Brian showed up and performed work in a timely manner, always punctual. Although there were a few hurdles, the task was not prolongs extensively. He was informative at every step, and very personable. At the conclusion of everything, my property was spotless. No damage to my rear deck or bushes. No debris what so ever was left behind, truly was like they were never there. I was totally trilled about the care and precision of everything performed. Brian and his crew achieved a beautiful roof. I would, and do recommend B & M Builders to anyone that is in need of roof repair

To Potential Clients of Brian Holder:

In the summer of 2004 I contracted with Brian Holder (DecksPlus) for the construction of a deck for my newly purchased Toll Brothers home in East Hampton, Connecticut. I was looking for a much higher quality and lower maintenance deck than the type offered by the builder.

I discussed this project with several deck building contractors and eventually decided that Brian offered the “best” solution. His proposal was for a deck that was approximately 14X14 (it is not a square deck) constructed with low to no maintenance components. Brian’s proposal included the use of “hidden” fasteners so that no screws or nails would be visible on the deck.

The project was completed, by Brian, for the quoted cost and within the expected timeframe. The finished product exceeded my (and my wife’s) expectations. Since 2004 I have performed almost no maintenance except for one power washing and an occasional sweeping. The deck looks as good as the day it was completed and I have nothing but praise for Brian’s dedication to perfection in the building of my deck. His attention to details shows in the final product and we have enjoyed its use over the past years and expect to for many years to come.

To Whom It May Concern,

ln August of 2001, we planned to remodel our kitcl1en. After seeing what merchandise was available to us at Loews, the decision was made to gut our kitchen and start completely over. Brian Holder of Decks Plus was assigned as our installer. This was not our first remodeling project. ln the past, we hired our own contractors. We were concerned about who would be sent to install the cabinetry. The manager of the cabinet appliance department, Gordon, assured us that we would be getting a very reliable person to do the work.

We were extremely pleased with the installation that Brian did. He was very conscientious, hard working and diligent. Our installation presented him with many obstacles due to the fact that not one of our walls was straight or our floor was level. His degree of professionalism truly amazed us. He leveled and matched each piece before moving on to insure that everything would fit at the end. Brian’s level of proficiency in carpentry very much surprised us. Brian demonstrated to us that a job done well isn’t complete until its well done.

Brian’s work ethic also impressed us. He came when promised, did his Work and made sure the area was cleaned before he left. He conducted all this in a friendly but businesslike manner. We have and will continue to recommend Brian to others for their remodeling needs. We feel very confident that anyone who hires him will be extremely pleased with the outcome of his work. Please feel free to contact us concerning this letter of recommendation. We can be reached at the above number most times of the day and evening.

To Whom It May Concern,

On June 22, 2008, I called B&M builders to discuss rebuilding our deck, which had recently collapsed off the back of the house. Brian Holder spoke to me on the phone and I immediately felt confident that B&M Builders was the right company for the job. We still proceeded to get 3 other quotes and Brian was very reasonably priced compared to the other estimates.

When Brian gave us a quote, lt was in a timely manner and he explained everything thoroughly. After we signed the contract they started exactly when they said they would, always gave notice when they would come over, cleaned up after themselves, and were very professional. When he started the job, he encountered additional unexpected rot due to the had construction of the old deck. Before just putting the new deck up and not correcting the rot, he talked with us about the need to do additional work in order to complete the job properly. He completed the additional work at a fair price.

One of the best features offered was the care for finishing detail of our new deck. We really appreciated the way they handled the landscape around the deck and sanding all edges and corners to be smooth. He also included a beautiful gate to protect our new son from falling down the stairs.

B&M Builders is great and I would highly recommend them to anyone. If you have additional questions, please feel free to call us. Our number is at the top of this letter.

- Sincerely, Jacqueline and Andrew Lazowski

Dear Brian,

Jill and l want to thank you, not only for our new deck, but also for your dedication to craftsmanship. In both the planning and the construction of the deck you showed us that skill and knowledge are not things of the past. Your attention to detail in measurement and cutting, and the precision of your fitting and finishing work have produced a deck that is as beautiful to look at as it is a joy to use.

We want to thank you as well for the suggestion of stain color for the deck, which fits wonderfully not only with the house but with the environment. Lastly, thank you for the way you left the house, the deck, and the yard when the job was done. There was not a scratch on the house that was not repaired, the deck was clean, and the yard which, as you know, was planted with three adjacent areas of perennial gardens during construction, was completely undisturbed.

If we can be of any help to you in terms of a reference, please let me know. Also, if anyone would like to view the deck as an example of your craftsmanship, we are happy to cooperate.

- Thanks again, Martin and Jill Mass

To whom it may concern As a property manager for a small condominium complex. it was my responsibility to select someone to remove old decks and reconstruct 7 new decks in their place. Bids were obtained and backgrounds checked. Decks Plus was selected. According to our agreement, work was to begin within a couple of weeks and it was estimated the work would be completed within 3 weeks. In reality, the work began within a week and was completed 2 weeks prior to the proposed schedule. All work was done in a very professional manner and care taken not to disturb the affected unit owners. The are was cleaned after each days work and the quality to work appears to be excellent. The Association Board expressed their satisfaction in the work performed and I can also state that I was pleased in the overall performance. I would consider their services for future projects.
